So today I gave a talk in church about the spiritual blessings of provident living. I hope it went well.
After church was over I went to find one of my students and give him a hard time about not coming to my class today (he was required to go to another class for seminary orientation). After we spoke for a bit he said, "Thanks for coming to talk to me". It's been so fun to get to know these boys.
It took about .5 seconds for Blakely's little entourage to show up and start smothering her with love. Quite literally thought. Jill Thomas, Sophie Briscoe and Melissa (?) as well as John Lerhol just Blakely and play with her every chance they get. I was a little overwhelmed with this being my 3rd to last Sunday and it was such a great feeling to hold Blakely while these little girls just gave her kisses, hugs, high-fives, knuckles, and tried to get her to kiss them. I love how much happiness, joy, love and friendlyness Blakely has brought into my life. Sophie kept say, "My mom needs to invite you guys over for dinner!" Haha.
So we came home and I was washing grapes again for lunch. I thought about what it would be like to have a kitchen sink to wash grapes in instead of a little mini wet-bar sink. Perhaps washing grapes will always remind me of the summer I spent in Chicago. I can't bear to think about this summer ending. It's been so wonderful. I love our friends and ward members out here so much. Don't get me wrong, I'm so done living in a hotel, but there are so many people I love. I just don't know how else to put it other than i've grown to love them.
I hope I can do all I can to enjoy every second of my remaining two weeks here. If you have any suggestions on what I can do to enjoy my time, and not forget it, please let me know!
Here are some pictures of Blakely with her friends Jill and Sophie when we went to the Genoa Chamberlain Park! They are the cutest girls ever!
